How Does the Tennis Rating System Works

  1. The Tennis Rating System calculates scores and updates the player's ratings every 24 hours.
  2. The system uses a formula to calculate ratings based on current player level and match scores.
  3. The system has been developed by a sports rating company for use nation-wide by many racquet clubs.  As such, there can be limitations as to our customization of the system.  If you have any problems or questions, please contact Wendy Franz at 989-631-6151, Extension 103 or franz@midlandtennis.com.

Why Enter Your Matches

  2. To identify other players at comparable levels to play as well as players below and above your level so that you can improve playing down, even and up.

What Will The Ratings Be Used For

  1. To help access a player's level to determine what programs would be appropriate - this includes Leagues, Member Open Play and Clinics.
  2. To assist in determining whether a player is ready to move up in League Level.
  3. The system is NOT used to determine or in anyway affect a players USTA League Rating.
