Thanks To You, Imagine Campaign Fund-Drive For New Outdoor Tennis Complex Keeps Rolling!

Billboard: Your Donation Doubled

Thanks to special “Friends of Tennis,” your contribution to the Imagine Campaign to raise $200,000 for the outdoor tennis complex will be matched, doubling the value of your gift now through the completion of the project in October.

West Side Court Construction Starts

The “Friends of Tennis” are stepping up-- MCTC employees, current and former members—It’s a significant testament to how much people appreciate their award-winning Midland Community Tennis Center. This spectacular new project recognizes our friend and founder Paul Oreffice, former CEO, Dow Chemical Company, retired.

The outdoor showcase features 4 Har-Tru Clay Courts; 4 QuickStart Courts designed just for your kids; 8 rebuilt and resurfaced hard courts; 8 resurfaced hard courts, and new viewing areas. The new surface colors are royal blue trimmed in green.

Construction of the west side courts started this week. To facilitate court use through this second phase of the project, indoor courts will be free through Labor Day.

Let’s rally for this wonderful opportunity to create a truly outstanding outdoor tennis environment for members, guests, visitors, families and you.

Make your contributions to “Outdoor Tennis Project.” Send to Pesi Kennett, director of business services, or contact Welcome Center--.631-6151.

And for those who have contributed, thank you for making the Tennis Center and Midland the “Best Tennis Town In The US!”

Your Midland Community Tennis Center: The perfect place to play around. Yes, we’re accepting new memberships. Yes our pros are certified. Yes, the jelly beans are free and the coffee curiously-unreliable. Yes you’re the star of an Excellent tennis Adventure.

Just about the time you think you’re playing to much the tennis magic grabs you because you’re getting better. Once a week is not enough, three times a week is better, maybe four times.

Why is that?

Because running and hitting and playing to win and winning is more fun than just about anything else on the Planet.
